You need to use Playstation 2 controllers. As Playstation 3 controllers use Bluetooth technology, they are not suitable with the system (Game Gate requires the activation and deactivation of controllers which is not possible using Bluetooth).

Both types are suitable for use with the system and function the same way. Wired controllers may be cheaper however they are becoming harder to find in retail stores. Two different Xbox 360 bracket styles are included, allowing you to install either option.

The sliding controller bracket is designed so that the left controller can be moved by the player into the centre of the unit if a single player game is selected. To release the left player and allow the controller to slide open the control panel and remove the screw securing the controller - see here for more info.

The right controller will always be in a fixed position. The sliding controller function is optional and you can leave both controllers fixed in position if you would prefer.
