The renewal process is similar to the original activation process. For machines not connected to the internet you will require a USB flash drive. You can renew multiple machines at once during the process by repeating steps 6-7. To navigate the USB interface menu press the "One Player Game" button to scroll, and the "Reset" button to select an option.

Step 1:
Thirty days prior to license expiration you will receive an invoice from iGames for another 6 months of license. Once you pay the invoice, 6 months worth of credits will be added to your account on the Game Gate registration server.

Step 2:
Power on the Game Gate and insert a USB flash drive into the USB port located behind the coin door. Using the USB interface menu which appears, select the "Licensing" option, and then "Write Request to USB". This will save a file called "control.gamegate" onto the USB flash drive.

Step 3:
Take the USB flash drive to an internet connected computer, and log in to the Game Gate registration server with your user name and password.

Step 4:
Click "Manage Units" and then "Renew". Follow the prompts to upload the "control.gamegate" file on the USB stick into the registration server. A list of your Game Gate machines eligible for renewal will appear with a checkbox next to each unit. Check the box for any unit you wish to renew which will reduce the available credits by the specified amount. Click "Confirm" to apply the credits to the checked unit(s).

Step 5:
A window will appear prompting you to save the newly modified file "control.gamegate". Save the new file onto the USB flash drive, overwriting the previous file.

Step 6: Take the USB flash drive to the Game Gate(s) you wish to activate. Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the Game Gate and power the machine on. Using the USB interface menu which appears, select the "Licensing" option, and then "Read License from USB".

Step 7:
Follow the onscreen prompts to remove the USB key and reboot Game Gate unit. A screen will appear during the boot sequence that will confirm "License Extended". Repeat steps 6 and 7 for all machines you chose to renew in the registration server in Step 4.
