Game Gate VU, a new licensed coin-operated machine using home market hardware, will be unveiled at the ATEI 2009 show in London. Previously known as the Arcade Station T2 Machine, the product has been refined and re-launched for Xbox 360.

The Game Gate is a coin-operated machine which uses a 32" high-definition LCD monitor and built-in subwoofer, all housed in a sleek upright cabinet design to help maximize floor space. The machine is licensed to play hundreds of console video games in a public environment, whether you are an operator, bowling alley, skate facility, FEC, arcade, restaurant, bar, nightclub, or any other venue open to the public.

The machine has a controller bracket with handheld controllers and supports one or two player action. The design of the unit allows the game pad controls to be easily swapped with a high quality arcade joystick and button control panel. PC kiosk controls featuring a keyboard and mouse are also available, allowing you to convert the cabinet into a fully functioning PC kiosk.

The Game Gate includes a coin mech which can be programmed to accept either coins or tokens. The machine also supports upstacking bill acceptor or upstacking bill acceptor/credit card reader.

Machines can be linked locally for versus / tournament play, or connected to the internet for online play (based on internet connection, license, and game system used). The Game Gate also has two Xbox 360 memory card jacks on the front of the unit which allow players to load/save game data and load gamer profile for network play. Game licensing issues have also been addressed (more news shortly).

The worldwide official launch will be held at ATEI Trade Show on Sega Amusement's Booth who are the exclusive distributor in Europe (except Italy). American Reload will handle distribution in USA whilst Highwaygames will handle Asia through their gamegateasia.com website).
